    • Tax = K630

    • Taxed at 37%

    • Tax = K296

  • Total PAYE Tax = K400 + K630 + K296 = K1,326

    Net Salary = K10,000 – K1,326 = K8,674 (before other statutory deductions)

    This example shows that even if part of your salary is taxed at 37%, only the portion that falls into that band is taxed at that rate.
